Don't forget to declare it!


All travellers entering or leaving the EU with € 10 000 or more in cash must declare the sum to Customs in order to comply with European Regulation (EC) No 1889/2005 applicable from 15 June 2007.  

40 years of European Customs Union


On 1 July 2008, the European Union celebrates the 40th anniversary of its Customs Union. It was launched by six countries on 1 July 1968. There are now 27 member countries in the union.
